Wayfair, on Track for $1 Billion in Sales, Acquires Home Retailer DwellStudio
Online home-decor retailer Wayfair said it had acquired DwellStudio, a New York City-based retailer that sells online, through catalogs and in its flagship Soho store. Wayfair said DwellStudio will continue to operate as its own brand, but will also help Wayfair create its own product lines and new brands. Formerly known as CSN Stores, 12-year-old Wayfair has undergone a transformation in the last year as it has consolidated about 200 different sites into a few: Wayfair.com, AllModern.com, and Joss & Main. Wayfair, which is privately held, said it will hit $1 billion in gross sales this year.
