Microsoft Clarifies Its Xbox One Game-Sharing Policies … Again
When Microsoft backtracked on its controversial DRM policies for the Xbox One in June, it also seemed to be abandoning the “Family Sharing” feature that would allow digital games to be downloaded to more than one of the next-gen consoles. However, the company clarified today that Xbox Live Gold subscribers will be able to log in to other Xbox Ones and access their digital content. If users buy and download a game to a One they don’t own, it will be freely accessible on that console until they log out, and will also become available on their home console.
