Business Software Startup LeadPages Raises $5 Million

LeadPages, a software company that creates customizable website landing pages for businesses, announced on Thursday that it had raised $5 million in a series A round of funding. Foundry Group led the round, with participation from Arthur Ventures. The company will use the new capital to scale up its Minneapolis, Minn.-based team, while also expanding its infrastructure.

Social Photo Startup Chute Raises $7 Million

Photo collection startup Chute raised a $7 million round of venture funding, the company announced Tuesday. The round was led by Foundry Group; existing investors Freestyle Capital and U.S. Venture Partners also participated. Chute lets companies grab photos from social networks and incorporate the visuals into their websites and apps. Sounds sorta similar to what Instagram could do someday soon, no?

News Byte Fetches $7 Million for Its Dog-Sitting Service, the dog-kenneling alternative, has raised $7 million in a second-round funding. The Seattle-based company said the Foundry Group led the round, with existing investor Madrona Venture Group also participating. Rover, which has raised more than $10 million to date, helps connect dog owners with potential sitters online. So far, sitters have signed up in 4,300 cities. Rover’s competitor, DogVacay, raised $6 million in November.
