YouFace: "30 Rock" Smacks Social Networking Perfectly

Tina Fey’s “30 Rock” did a takedown of social networking sites in its latest episode, “Secret Santa,” delivering a smack-attack that is nearly perfect.

The broadcast network Liz Lemon works for has bought a social network called YouFace–a mashup of MySpace and Facebook. Her boss, Jack Donaghy, finds an old flame online, of course.

On YouFace, terms such as “finger-tagged,” “face-fall,” “weirdsie,” “bing-bangs” and “pho-lo” (for photo and hello) abound.

None of which are any more weirdsie than being “friended” and “poked.”
