Apple CEO Steve Jobs at D8: The Full, Uncut Interview

Here’s the entirety of Apple CEO (AAPL) Steve Jobs’ D8 interview with Kara Swisher and Walt Mossberg. The wide-ranging chat runs for more than 90 minutes, and covers everything from Jobs’ fraying relationship with Google (GOOG) to his stance on Adobe’s (ADBE) Flash, to his lack of interest in the TV market. And, of course, a lot of iPad talk. Enjoy.

Will there be a podcast released, like the one of Bill Gates and Steve Jobs at D5? Or a way of downloading the above video?

Sorry but the embedded video player here is probably the worst one of the Internet. I gave up after 5mins.

Watching SJ rail on Adobe Flash, as the broken Flash player on this website cuts out video and can not be recovered. Priceless…

  • bbrewer

He is right. Flash should be left for dead, like Adobe left Apple for dead in the late 90's when they publicly recommended Windows for graphic artists on the Adobe Website! Good thing the smarter ones knew better than to follow Adobe's advice.

Staring at a thumbnail for 1,5 hour? Are you serious?

AllThingsD videos: F*ck adobe flash videos. Come on and arrive in 2010 for god sake!

    Absolutely shameful.

How out of touch can the organizers of AllThingsD be? First they chop up the interview into linkbait portions and spread it out over a week and then finally decide to make the video available in a buggy flash player.

I'm going to wait until someone captures the entire thing in a proper format or puts it up on youtube.

AllThingsD, you're no better than Gizmodo.

For some reason this page refreshes every 10/20 minutes. It kicks me out the video on iPad and looses the currnet place on a paused video on the desktop. Very frustrating!

Podcast/download please! Even if streaming was working, still want to watch this on the subway.

The only way streaming saves bandwidth over downloads is if the users get frustrated and give up. Mission accomplished, I guess…

Why is the video such bad quality and so tiny? The player makes it worse by not resizing the video smoothly so it looks like a pixelated mess. Doesn't an interview with such a legend of the tech industry deserve better?

I agree. I wanted to watch it full screen. The best I could do was use Control+Scroll on my Mac to zoom in on the video.

It's worth watching the entire interview though. Maybe they'll syndicate it out to Viddler, YouTube, etc…

Here's the full screen (well, depending on how large you make your browser window) version: http://s.wsj.net/media/swf/mic.....ide…

(Thanks to Mark Jaquith for linking it up on Kevin Rose's post.)

We created full-screen page here: http://d8.allthingsd.com/speak...../fu… and will do so for all future full-length video posts for D8.

    Thanks for the feedback, folks.
