Walt Mossberg – For iPad and Mobile Devices, a “Port” out of the Norm
Taiwan handset maker HTC, producer of many of the top Android-based smartphones, is seeing a payoff from its embrace of Google’s mobile operating system. The company’s second-quarter results show a 58 percent increase in revenue and a 33 percent gain in profits year-over-year, both well above forecasts.
