Twitter Gets the Ken Burns Treatment From Funny or Die (Video)

No matter what anyone tells you, there is no way to guarantee your video will go viral. But one way to dramatically increase the odds is to make your video about a big, popular social media company. The kind that might end up promoting your video itself.

Which makes it odd that this day-old clip from Funny or Die, which gives Twitter the Ken Burns documentary treatment in honor of its fifth anniversary, hasn’t exploded already. Because:

  • It’s about Twitter.
  • It’s got the Twitter seal of approval.
  • It also has an endorsement from Perez Hilton, who also appears in the thing.*
  • It’s actually quite funny, too.

I’m sure it will get there, though. Enough words. Watch!

(Oh. Not totally safe for work. There are some swears.)

*Not my demo, either. But he’s very popular. Different strokes.

I feel sorry for Peter Thiel. Did he really want flying cars? Flying cars are not a very efficient way to move things from one point to another. On the other hand, 20 years ago we had the idea that information could become available at your fingertips. We got that done.
