Here’s the New iPad
And, crucially, it will work with new high-speed 4G LTE networks from AT&T and Verizon. It will also work with two other new mobile networks — HSPA+ and dual-channel HSDP — which will be important outside the U.S.
Apple says the new device will boast the same battery life as the iPad 2: Nine hours for wireless use.
Pricing will stay the same as the iPad 2: $499 for 16 gigabytes, with $100 more for 32GB, and $200 more for 64GB. 4G wireless models cost an extra $130. The new model will be available March 16.
One thing not included with the new model: A new name. Apple is simply referring to this device as “the new iPad.”
