Former HP Labs Head Prith Banerjee Joins Accenture
Prith Banerjee, the former head of HP Labs, the research and development organization of technology giant Hewlett-Packard, has joined the technology consulting firm Accenture.
The company announced the move today. Banerjee’s title will be managing director of Global Technology Research & Development within its Technology Growth Platform unit. In the new job, Banerjee will oversee Accenture Technology Labs, the firm’s research organization that focuses on emerging tech, and will be responsible for its annual Technology Vision research.
Banerjee, whom I interviewed for a Seven Questions post in 2011, ran HP Labs for about five years until a 2012 management shake-up. He then joined the Swiss industrial tech firm ABB as its CTO, but left that job earlier this year.
