Zynga Lead Game Designer Departs for Idle Games

Michael McCormick, a 20-year game industry veteran and Zynga’s lead game designer on CityVille, is leaving the company to become director of game design at San Francisco-based start-up Idle Games, creators of upcoming Facebook game Idle Worship. The move comes on the heels of the departure of Zynga ad exec Manny Anekal to join Kiip, a mobile games rewards company, as chief operating officer.
