Viacom's Second Quarter Earnings Jump 52 Percent
Viacom reported a 52 percent increase in net income for the quarter ended June 30, attributing the jump to increased ad revenue and lower film and distribution expenses. Its net income was $420 million, or 69 cents per share, up from $277 million, or 46 cents per share, a year ago. This beat the 66-cent expectation of analysts on Wall Street.
