For Call of Duty Franchise, Another Record-Breaking Launch
Call of Duty: Black Ops, the new installment in Activision Blizzard’s popular first-person shooter franchise, kicked off what promises to be a big holiday season for the company–it sold a record-breaking 5.6 million copies in its first day on sale Monday. The previous record for first-day sales was held by its predecessor, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2, which moved 4.7 million copies in its first day last year.
