Microsoft Schedules Build Developer Conference to Talk Windows 8, Windows Phone
Microsoft on Wednesday confirmed plans for a fall developer event, called Build, to talk about the next versions of its phone and PC operating systems.
Build is slated to take place Oct. 30 through Nov. 2 at Microsoft’s headquarters in Redmond, Wash. That’s less than a week after Windows 8 officially goes on sale.
“And in addition to Windows 8, we will have lots of other stuff to talk about, too: Windows Azure, Windows Phone 8, Windows Server 2012, Visual Studio 2012, and much more,” said Tim O’Brien, Microsoft’s general manager of platform strategy, in a blog post.
Registration for the event will start at 8 am PT on Aug. 8, Microsoft said.
