Glory Days, They’ll Pass You By: Groupon’s Andrew Mason at D (Video)

Earlier this afternoon, Groupon fired co-founder Andrew Mason as CEO, one day after the company reported yet another dismal quarter, following what has been a disastrous year for the daily deals company.

But things weren’t always this bad. Back in 2011, a jovial Mason appeared onstage at our D9 conference, and did his damnedest to avoid chatting about the IPO papers Groupon would file less than 24 hours later. Here’s video of the interview:
