Path Names Kallol Das New VP of Engineering

Path, the private social network for mobile devices, has named Kallol Das its new vice president of engineering.

“The way I see my role, I want to make sure that as Path continues its journey toward success, we deal with scale on any number of angles,” Das said in an interview. “Whether that means scaling up our number of engineers, our number of users, [or] our number of features.”

Das was most recently VP of software engineering at Salesforce, where he led the team working on the company’s Service Cloud product line for the past six years. Before that, Das was a software development manager at Amazon, where he worked on the AmazonFresh engineering team.

Das joins a number of other recent hires in Path’s higher ranks, including CFO Kim Jabal, formerly of Lytro, and new general counsel Rob Rieders, formerly of Pixar.
