Apple Partner Hon Hai Considers Pennsylvania Plant

Hon Hai Precision Industry, which assembles iPhones and iPads for Apple, said it is considering an investment of $40 million in manufacturing and research facilities in Pennsylvania. The Taiwanese contract manufacturer for consumer electronics, also known as Foxconn, said it may invest $30 million in manufacturing facilities for high-end telecommunications products and S$10 million for automation research and development in the state.
