Uber Will Deliver Christmas Trees to Your Door for $135

If Christmas celebrators are feeling just too busy to chop their own tree, or to weary to drag one home from the corner lot, Uber has got them covered this year.

In another of the company’s random delivery stunts (ice cream, tamales … even kittens) Uber will tomorrow deliver seven-foot-tall Christmas trees to users’ doors in 10 U.S. cities.

The trees cost $135, and are charged directly through the smartphone app to credit cards on file. Friends can use the “fare splitter” option to share an in-home conifer if they wish.

But Uber’s fleets of black cars won’t be getting coated with pine needles; this is through a partnership with Home Depot, which is contributing its trucks.
