Last night, Twitter passed a milestone — 10 billion tweets. We eagerly awaited something profound, as one would expect from the Twitterverse. But as social-media blog Mashable noted, the 10 billionth tweet was made by a user with a protected account. So we can’t see it. (Yes, there are people on Twitter who don’t share their lives with the masses.) Perhaps it’s for the best.
