Here's What an iAd + Twitter Looks Like

Not that exciting, really. But we’ll note it anyway.

This is from Liberty Mutual, and it’s the first one to feature a Twitter integration–you can see it at the 45-second mark in this demo video, and you can read more about it here:

Liberty Mutual was one of the first marketers to sign up with Apple and iAd. And given the mixed reception Steve Jobs and company have received from Madison Avenue, the fact that it’s stuck around is worth noting, too.

Here’s a basic, armchair quarterback complaint about the iAds I’ve seen so far: They’re all so intent on showing off their digital bells and whistles that they forget about being compelling or entertaining.

Check out this Allstate campaign, currently running on old-fashioned TV, for comparison. I’ll take humor and fear over interactive good intentions.
