Apple Drops Price of iPhone 4, 4S

With today’s introduction of the iPhone 5, Apple announced that it will drop the prices of its previous models, the iPhone 4 and iPhone 4S. The iPhone 4 is now free with a two-year service agreement, and the 16 gigabyte iPhone 4S will cost $99 on contract. The handsets will be upgradeable to iOS 6, which will be available as a free download on Sept. 19. Meanwhile, iPhone 5 goes on sale on Sept. 21, with preorders starting Friday. Pricing starts at $199 for the 16GB model.
