SoftBank CEO Takes Offensive on Sprint Deal
SoftBank Corp. Chief Executive Masayoshi Son launched a blistering attack on Dish Network Corp.’s competing bid for Sprint Nextel Corp., saying it would load the U.S. carrier with debt and delay its turnaround without providing any telecommunications expertise.
Dish’s assertion that its $25.5 billion offer presents a premium to SoftBank’s proposal is “totally wrong” and “incomplete and illusory,” he declared, in a 40-minute fusillade Tuesday aimed at winning over Sprint shareholders.
