Motorola Keeps Those “Lazy Phone” Ads Coming

Motorola continues to play up the notion that phones that don’t have its touchless controls are just plain lazy.

In its latest “Lazy Phone” spot, the Google subsidiary shows a guy in his car who realizes he is low on gas but can’t get help from his smartphone (portrayed as a guy stretched out in the passenger seat). The Moto X, by contrast, is shown being able to find the nearest gas station simply by activating Google Now through voice.

The ads are humorous and have done quite well on YouTube. Whether they boost sales, though, remains to be seen.
